Dream Sports and MSSA celebrate National Sports Day with Five-a-side Hockey Tournament

Mumbai, 29th August, 2025: On the occasion of National Sports Day, Dream Sports and MSSA organised a Five-a-side Hockey Tournament at MSSA Sports Turf Ground. The tournament featured competitive matches in the Under-14 and Under-16 categories for both boys and girls, showcasing impressive performances across multiple age groups.

In the Boys Under-14 category, Don Bosco High School, Matunga secured a commanding 4-0 win over Children’s Academy, Malad with goals from Naithesh Kadva, Rezin D’Mello, Clyde, and Arjun. Dr. Antonio D’Silva High School secured third place, getting the better of Yashodham High School with a scoreline of 2-1.

The Girls Under-14 final delivered high drama as Duruelo Convent, Bandra triumphed over Bai Avabai Petit 4-3 in a penalty shoot out after the two teams were drawn at 2-2 at full-time. Ankita Prasad and Anushka Salvi scored for Duruelo Convent, while Amyra Tarapurwala and Mysha Palecanda scored for Bai Avabai Petit. In the third place match, Yashodham High School registered a 2-1 win against Don Bosco, Borivali.

In the Girls Under-16 division, Guru Nanak High School lifted the trophy after defeating Duruelo Convent, Bandra 2-0 in a tie-breaker, following a goalless stalemate. Pareen Riar and Ankita Kanojia were on target for Guru Nanak as they won the title. Meanwhile, Gokuldham High School claimed third place after a 2-1 win over Don Bosco, Borivali.

The Boys Under-16 category featured a thrilling final where Dr. Antonio D’Silva High School overcame Don Bosco High School, Matunga 4-3 in penalties, after a 1-1 draw at full time. Foaad Shaikh, Amogh Gawde, and Sarthak Jadhav scored for Antonio D’Silva, while Parth Chintal and Sarth Hiremath found the net for Don Bosco. Children’s Academy, Malad sealed third place after defeating Don Bosco, Borivali 3-0.
