Oxford International Education Services launches CSR initiative towards a more equitable society

Mumbai: 16 August 2023: Oxford International Education Services (OIES), a leading education services provider supporting universities worldwide to strengthen and scale up international student acquisitions, launched its first Corporate Social Responsibility initiative – Community Food Drive – at Bhadra Nagar, Desale Pada, Dombivli in Thane district, where members of the team distributed food kits to the underprivileged. The activity was conducted in association with the Mumbai-based Not-For-Profit, Sheth Shree Motisha Sadharmik Bhakti Kendra. OIES has firmed up plans to organize similar activities for the disadvantaged in the coming months to help strengthen the national mission of bringing about a more equitable society.

In alignment with the Oxford International Education Group’s core values that are at the heart of it’s business, OIES offered food kits containing wheat, rice, sugar, oil, jaggery, masoor dal, and rice flakes to the underprivileged. Lunch was catered to feed approximately 150 people including men, women and children. Its volunteers at the location, along with representatives of the Not-For-Profit, ensured that the activity was meticulously executed.

Pleased at the launch of the initiative, Mr. Mohit Gambir, Managing Director, Oxford International Education Services, said, “We are delighted to see that this activity has been successful as nothing is more satisfying than making a difference to those around us in need.,. We firmly believe in giving back to the society in which we operate and look forward to carrying this initiative in a sustained way by organizing similar activities on a larger scale across geographies in the future.”
