Attracting thousands of participants from around the world, this iconic event is a celebration of endurance, spirit, and community.
To ensure the health and safety of runners, a specialized *Quick Response Team* of physiotherapists will be deployed every *2 kilometers* along the marathon route to provide immediate medical assistance.
This initiative has been organized under the visionary leadership of *Dr. Sanjiv Jha, President of the Indian Association of Physiotherapists*, and *Dr. Ruchi Varshney, President of the Women Cell of the Indian Association of Physiotherapists*. Together, they have ensured the presence of a dedicated and highly skilled team of physiotherapists for the marathon, underscoring the importance of professional care and preparedness for any health concerns or emergencies during the event.
At the forefront of this crucial team is *Dr. Aijaaz Ashai, a renowned Celebrity Physiotherapist, Director of AXI (Physio and Rehab Center), Chairman of the IAP West Zone Innovation Committee, and President of the Sports Cell of the Indian Association of Physiotherapist*. With his extensive experience in physiotherapy and sports rehabilitation, Dr. Ashai has been appointed as the *Head of the Quick Response Team for the Tata Mumbai Marathon 2025.*
