Actor Navneet Malik is basking in the glow of appreciation from both viewers and critics for his nuanced portrayal of a grey character in Neeraj Pandey’s The Freelancer. Now, he is gearing up to captivate audiences once again in the upcoming show, “Aankh Micholi,” where he will be portraying the lead character, Sumedh. Sumedh is a young man from a Gujarati family who shoulders the responsibility of his family following his father’s passing.

While eagerly anticipating the audience’s reaction to his new character and appearance, Navneet recently shared his gratitude for the cherished compliments that keep him motivated to embrace challenges. In a heartwarming revelation, Navneet spoke about receiving a message from actor Jaideep Ahlawat, a fellow Rohtak native, who praised his performance in The Freelancer.

“Jaideep Bhaiya reached out to me after watching my performance in The Freelancer, and it was one of the first compliments I received for the series. It wasn’t just special because people in the industry were recognizing me, but also because it came from Jaideep Bhaiya. We both come from the same city in Haryana, Rohtak. When he said, ‘Mahara Haryana Ka Chora Chale Phaad Raha Hai’ (Our Haryana boy is rocking it), it made me feel really proud. His words are stuck in my heart, motivating me to do my best in life and not only make my state proud but also my country in the future,” shared Navneet.

In The Freelancer, Navneet played the role of Mohsin Fazal opposite Kashmira Pardeshi aka Aliya Khan. The two-part action thriller series centered on Aliya’s quest for escape amid challenging conditions, featuring stellar performances by Mohit Raina, Kashmira Pardeshi, and Anupam Kher.

Navneet Malik starrer Aankh Micholi, revolves around Rukhmini, an undercover cop caught in the conflict between her dream of becoming an IPS officer and her family’s insistence on her settling down.
