Mumbai, India, 10 September 2026: Visa, a global leader in digital payments, today announced a live showcase of agentic commerce payment experiences at the Global Fintech Fest (GFF) 2026, in collaboration with leading banking, fintech and merchant partners including Federal Bank, IndusInd Bank, RBL Bank, Cashfree Payments, CCAvenue, Juspay, Paytm Payments Services, PayU, Pine Labs and Razorpay.
The showcase demonstrated how consumers can use natural-language prompts to make search and discovery more intuitive and relevant – whether they begin their journey with a popular LLM AI agent or directly through a merchant’s AI agent. In either pathway, AI helps consumers move seamlessly from intent to discovery, comparison and purchase through a trusted, convenient, and secure commerce experience.
The experiences brought this to life across a range of everyday use cases, including travel bookings, food ordering, lifestyle purchases and online shopping. They also illustrated how agentic commerce can work across large brands as well as emerging D2C and MSME merchants, with AI agents helping consumers navigate choices, surface relevant offerings and complete fully authenticated payments with human-in-the-loop, while maintaining transparency and consumer control.
Built on Visa’s existing payment capabilities, including tokenisation and Visa Payment Passkey-based authentication, the showcase illustrated how trusted payment infrastructure can unlock the next generation of AI-powered commerce.
By 2030, AI agents could facilitate an estimated $3 trillion to $5 trillion in transaction value of global commerce.
Visa’s showcase at GFF 2026 demonstrates how payments can be seamlessly integrated into AI-driven experiences while maintaining the trust, security and control consumers expect from digital transactions.
Suresh Sethi, Group Country Manager, India and South Asia, Visa, said:
“Artificial intelligence is set to fundamentally reshape how consumers discover, decide and transact. As commerce becomes increasingly agent-driven, trust will be the key enabler of adoption. Trust is integral to Visa and we believe the future of payments must combine the convenience of intelligent automation with the confidence that comes from secure, transparent and consumer-controlled experiences.”
He further added, “Visa’s live demonstration of agentic commerce at Global Fintech Fest, is a showcase of trusted payment infrastructure, built on capabilities such as tokenisation and secure authentication with Visa Payment Passkey, enabling the next generation of AI-powered commerce that ensures consumer control and consent throughout the payment journey. To advancing this future, we will collaborate closely with our ecosystem partners across banks, fintechs and merchants to build secure, interoperable and scalable payment experiences. This is a sneak peak into what the future of agentic commerce in India would look like. At Visa, we are keen to integrate our global advancements and innovation into this space as it evolves.”
The showcase underlines the importance of industry-wide collaboration in shaping the future of commerce. By bringing together banks, fintechs, merchants and payment ecosystem participants, Visa and its partners are exploring how trusted digital payment experiences can evolve to support emerging commerce models in an AI-powered economy.
As AI increasingly becomes embedded in consumer and merchant experiences, Visa remains focused on enabling innovation through secure and trusted payment infrastructure. By combining decades of expertise in digital payments with capabilities such as tokenisation and authentication, Visa is helping build the foundations for a future where payments can move seamlessly across human and AI-driven interactions while preserving the trust, security and reliability that consumers and businesses depend on.
