Homegrown at Yash Raj Films, debutant director Shiv Rawail, is over the moon that his matinee idol Shah Rukh Khan has watched his project, the global hit series from YRF, The Railway Men & loved it too!
Netflix & YRF Entertainment’s tentpole series, The Railway Men, a thrilling tale of heroism, hope & humanity is a huge hit nationally & internationally. The 4-part mini-series that premiered on November 18, is a runaway success story riding on unanimously positive reviews from media & audience across the world! In fact, The Railway Men has topped global charts for around three months now!
Director Shiv Rawail, a director that YRF a has launched with the series, is on top of the world with the reaction that Shah Rukh Khan has had for his work and the YRF project.
He says, “The best message of appreciation that I have got so far has to be from my cinematic icon Shah Rukh sir! Shahrukh Khan and I met him recently and he said he loved the series. The industry has showed a lot of love and you know like for a debut director – I think it’s amazing to get that recognition. You feel really good about it, especially when your colleagues, your contemporaries and people you have looked upto discuss it with you.”
Shiv adds, “I worked with Shah Rukh sir as an AD on FAN – you know to hear from him that he really loves it and to get calls from other directors in the industry who’s films you’ve seen and loved for years, it just feels amazing!”
