*NAEMD organizes Enable-a-thon – a fund raising event for Divyangjans* – Adarsh Maharashtra

 

 

*NAEMD associates with Saksham NGO to celebrate its annual intercollegiate festival “JOSH” with the differently abled members of the society*

*Mumbai: November 17, 2019;* The students of NAEMD Academy of Event Management and Development (NAEMD), ranked as Asia’s best event management institute as part of its 14th intercollegiate festival – JOSH associated Saksham, an NGO working in the space of development of specially abled children and adults organized Enable-a-thon, a fund raising initiative to empower the specially abled members of the society on November 17, 2019 at Poinsur Gymkhana, Kandivili.

Enable-a-thon – conceptualized and executed by the students of NAEMD, the event witnessed participants challenging odds and walking 1km to raise awareness. The students also played friendly games with the participants. The institute partnered with Saksham (Samadrishti, Kshamata Vikas Evam Anusandhan Mandal) whose services and efforts are dedicated towards all the persons with various disabilities and to environment, health and other social activities to strengthen thesociety.

Sharing the idea behind this noble gesture, *Mr. Vipul Solanki, Director, NAEMD Academy of Event Management and Development said*, “Josh – our intercollegiate festival celebrates each year with a unique theme of celebrating the spirit of Mumbai. This year the students brought up the idea of crowd-funding for the welfare of the differently abled members of our society and intended to spend a day with them. Saksham has been working for the development of these members and thus we associated with them. This is a long term association and in the coming few months we plan to have more such initiatives to motivate and make them feel part of us.

*Dr. Dayalsingh Pawar, President, Saksham, National Executive Committee said,* “Saksham has been working in the development of these specially abled individuals and run various programmes for their social progress. I congratulate the efforts the of students of NAEMD who have come forward to spend time with these specially abled individuals and do a fund raising event for their welfare development. We would like to have long term association with NAEMD and do such more activities.”
