 Mumbai, August 13, 2020 After ‘Jai Siya Ram’, soon millions of devotees from all across the world congregating in the holy place of Vrindavan in Uttar Pradesh to worship Lord Shri Krishna on the auspicious day of Janmashtami, will chant ‘Radhe Radhe’, as its 175 – year old heritage, historic temple Thakur Sree Radhakant Mandir is set to undergo complete renovation.

 

On the auspicious day of Janmashtami, celebrated as the birthday of Lord Shri Krishna; Governor of Maharashtra H. E. Shri Bhagat Singh Koshyari inaugurated the website of Thakur Sree Radhakant Mandir of Vrindavan (www.mridulvrindavan.com)  and unveiled the new look of the temple in a special event planned at Raj Bhavan in Mumbai amid strict adherence to Covid – 19 directives.

 

One of the oldest temples in Vrindavan, Sree Radhakant Mandir, will be reconstructed with contemporary architecture to match the glory and stature of the Holy Place. We and our ancestors have been fortunate enough to receive blessings from Thakur Sree Radhakant Ji through this place of worship for almost two centuries. Now this legacy should be continued for the spiritual wellbeing of our future generations. And therefore it’s time to render a facelift to this heritage shrine for being immortal in centuries to come. Many prominent personalities like the Birla family, and various seniors are frequent visitors to the temple. Former Prime Minister of India Shri Atal Bihari Vajpayee ji also used to visit the temple to seek the blessings of Thakur ji.

 

On the occasion, Shri Bhagat Singh Koshyari, praised the efforts of the Seers, Saints & Pujaris of Thakur Sree Radhakant Mandir of Vrindavan and called it as yet another historic moment. He said, “I am delighted to note that one of the oldest and important temples of Vrindavan will shine once again and become a modern epitome of our culture that stands on eternal teachings of Lord Shri Krishna of Love, Compassion and tenderness that embrace the entire mankind. This new temple will not only inspire devotees and divinity, but will attract millions of people from the world to Vrindavan to witness India’s great strengths of unity and heritage. The temple’s architecture will be reckoned as a new philosophy of the future and a reference point in building temples, as it will be an integrated cultural complex.”

 

Adding that the new temple will change the landscape of Vrindavan, Shri Koshyari said, “The entire region will witness cultural and economic development, as millions of devotees and other people from the globe will visit Vrindavan.”
