Mumbai*, * Women public representatives from Satara district visited the Mahalakshmi Saras 2026 exhibition being held in Mumbai and explored various stalls showcased at the event. The delegation included Mhaswad Nagaradhyaksha Pooja Sachin Virkar, former Vaduj Nagaradhyaksha Reshma Shrikant Bansode, former Vaduj Nagaradhyaksha Manisha Kale, former Dahivadi Nagaradhyaksha Neelam Jadhav, and BJP Mahila Morcha Mhaswad Mandal President Archana Sawant. Councillors, municipal representatives, and women office-bearers from Mhaswad, Dahivadi, and Vaduj municipalities were also present during the visit.
During the exhibition visit, the representatives gathered information about handicrafts, traditional food products, rural products, and various enterprises developed by women entrepreneurs and self-help groups from different districts of Maharashtra. They appreciated the innovative initiatives and entrepreneurial efforts showcased by the women participants.
Speaking on the occasion, they said, “Hon. Jaykumar Gore encouraged us to visit the Mahalakshmi Saras exhibition. Witnessing the industries established by women, along with their hard work and confidence, has been truly inspiring. Such initiatives play a vital role in economically empowering women in rural areas. Inspired by this exhibition, efforts will be made to provide greater platforms and opportunities for more women entrepreneurs in Satara district.”
Minister Hon. Jaykumar Gore’s wife Sonia Gore was also present during the visit. She visited various stalls, interacted with women self-help groups, and appreciated the skills and craftsmanship of rural women. She expressed that such initiatives promoting women’s self-reliance should receive greater encouragement and support.
